Finished in bright Red, this all steel looker’s finish has a beautiful luster that is laser straight. The exterior is further enhanced by its mirror-like chrome and brightwork, including cowl light turn signals and three brake lights. A set of American Racing wheels provides additional pop, as does its vintage oak trunk. Other exterior features you’ll appreciate are its filled roof, crank-out windshield, tinted glass, and new chrome grille. Its original running boards and headlamps are also in excellent condition.
This sedan’s interior is equally impressive, featuring a custom interior finished in Beige leather and tweed. Its custom finished headliner houses a Kenwood AM/FM stereo with CD player. Additional distinction is provided by its Wabbit’s Wood Works high gloss birds eye maple trim dashboard and console, featuring two cup holders and a storage bin. A full complement of Classic Instruments gauges complete the package. Other comfort and convenience items include a Lecarra leather-wrapped tilt steering wheel, power windows, and Vintage air conditioning.
Under the hood you will find a rebuilt ’49 Merc flathead V-8 mated to a C-4 automatic transmission with a 9” Ford rear end. The engine features an Offenhauser intake and heads and a Holley 4 barrel carburetor. Other mechanical upgrades included the following:
