Classic Car Facts

1940 Ford 2 Door Sedan31,000 original miles ... Gorgeous Forest Mist Metallic Green with contrasting White vinyl interior ... 4 barrel carbureted 330 CID V-8 ... Tilt steering wheel ... Power antenna ...

There is something very alluring about the clean, chiseled lines of the mid-1960s Oldsmobiles.  After the fins and frills turned out by Detroit engineers in the 1950s, the restrained, yet elegant, designs of the 1960s represented a new era in automotive styling.  Adorned by just the right amount of chrome, their lines speak for themselves without excess ornamentation.

If this type of styling appeals to you, you will love this 1965 Oldsmobile F-85 Cutlass Sports Coupe.  Finished in Forest Mist Metallic Green with a contrasting White vinyl interior, this striking color combination only further accentuates its understated lines.  New Cragar SS wheels complete the look.  Powered by a 4 barrel carbureted 330 CID V-8 engine mated to a Jetaway 2-speed automatic transmission, this car runs and drives as well as it looks.  Its new dual exhaust system with Flowmaster mufflers will reward you with a satisfying rumble.  Best of all, this classic has only 31,000 original miles!

Optional comfort and convenience features included on this car include the following:

  • Power steering
  • Power brakes
  • Power antenna
  • Tilt-away steering wheel
  • Electric clock (not currently working)
  • AM/FM radio with cassette

Recent mechanical and performance updates include the following:

  • Dual exhaust system with Flowmaster mufflers
  • Upper and Lower control arm bushings
  • Ball joints, idler arm, and inner and outer tie rods
  • Four new coil springs
  • Front end alignment

  • New Kelly Charger tires and Cragar SS wheels

A few items of note are that the paint has a high luster, but does exhibit some minor imperfections that do not detract from the overall appearance of the car.  Additionally, the chrome and bright work is in very good condition, but does exhibit some minor pitting.  There is also a small ding on the driver’s side front bumper corner.  In addition, the trunk weather stripping has deteriorated and there is some minor surface rust below the trunk lining.  The interior, including dashboard, door panels, instrument panel, headliner, chrome and seats, is in excellent condition, although the carpeting does exhibit some minor wear.

Purists will appreciate this car’s four original T-3 headlamps, Owner Operating Manual, and Warranty Booklet, including the original Protect-O-Plate.  Also included with sale is its original set of steel wheels (mounted with four tires) and dog dish hub caps.

If a well maintained, “get in and go” classic in a striking color combination is what you desire, this Cutlass is for you!
