If you’re looking for a mid-60s Nova that packs plenty of punch and has the looks to match, you’ll love this eye catching 1966 Nova Super Sport.
Under the hood of this attention grabbing SS you’ll find a newly built 383 Stroker V-8 that features an Eagle 383 Stroker kit and a 10.5:1 compression ratio, generating an estimate 425 horsepower. Providing additional power is a GS Products flat tappet hydraulic cam. Power is supplied to the rear wheels by a Turbo 350 3 speed automatic transmission with a shift kit that shifts manually for total driver control. This car also features a TCI Street Fighter torque converter. Other performance enhancements include the following:
This car also benefits from a new suspension. Best of all, the powertrain has less than 1,000 miles.
Cosmetics did not go ignored at the expense of performance on this Super Sport. A rust-free Nevada car, the body was stripped down to bare metal prior to a laser straight application of base coat/clear coat in its original color of Mist Blue Metallic. Its finish has a mirror like luster. Newly rechromed bumpers and Cragar chrome wheels complete the look.
Sportiness is also evident inside this Super Sport, with an interior featuring Black bucket seats and a center console. A steering wheel mounted Auto Meter street tach and ancillary Auto Meter Pro-Comp liquid filled oil pressure and temperature gauges will keep you informed. Interior door panels, seating areas, and carpeting are in very good condition, but some wear is evident on the center console and dashboard.
A few items of note are that the speedometer and windshield wipers are not currently connected. In addition, the clock, radio, horn, and interior dome light are not currently working. In addition, some minor pitting of the interior and exterior chrome should be noted.
Always properly stored indoors and never raced, this car is ready to make you proud.
If high horsepower mid-60s muscle in an attractive package is what you desire, this 1966 Nova SS is for you!
