Finished in eye-popping Bright Red with a Black vinyl top and factory correct laser stripes and hand-applied pinstripes, this car is further accentuated by a Black vinyl roof and Red vinyl interior. Under the hood is its original 351 CID Cleveland V-8 engine with original 2 barrel carburetor mated to its original SelectShift C4 automatic transmission with a 3.89 Ford Traction-Lok limited slip rear end. Its original 3.00 rear end will also be included with sale. The engine was completely rebuilt approximately 8,000 miles ago and runs and drives like new. The transmission was also serviced at the same time, including replacement of its clutch plates.
Ford’s 1971 Torino lineup spanned the full gamut of models, from sedate sedans and practical wagons to the sporty GT models, which featured several options as standard equipment, in addition to styling cues that were unique to the GT. Among these were the following:
Originally a California car, this classic received a full restoration in 2004, including complete rebuild of the engine, sandblasting of body to bare metal prior to professional repaint in its original color, new vinyl top, new seat covers and headliner, new interior door handles, detailing of the engine compartment, and sandblasting and detailing of the undercarriage. Photocopies of photographs documenting the restoration process will be provided with sale.

A few items of note are some minor superficial cracks in the dash pad, as well as a crack in the steering wheel. There is also minor wear in the interior. In addition, there is some minor wear on the chrome and bright work and a few minor dings near the right rear wheel well that should be noted. None of these items detracts from the overall appearance of the car.
