Classic Car Facts

1975 Cadillac Fleetwood BroughamStunning Rosewood Metallic Exterior ... Rosewood Monticello velour interior ... 500 CID V-8 ... 61,000 original miles ... Rust-free ... Well maintained ...

In 1975, Cadillac billed its cars “A Standard for the World in American-built cars”—and it was not without reason.  With freshened styling and continued commitment to technological refinement, the 1975 model lineup proved popular with discriminating buyers.  One such model was the beautiful Fleetwood Brougham, which boasted several features that made it unique—even among Cadillacs.  Features such as rear carpeted footrests, automatic level control, and a wheelbase and length a full three inches longer than the Sedan DeVille resulted in an unparalleled level of comfort and ride quality.

This beautiful Fleetwood Brougham is finished in Rosewood Metallic with a coordinating Light Rosewood Metallic vinyl top.  Its rust-free finish has a beautiful luster, and the vinyl roof is without flaw.  Minor imperfections in the paint do not detract from the overall appearance of this car.  The interior is finished in its original Rosewood Monticello velour, which is in excellent condition.  The rest of the interior, including the dashboard, carpeting, headliner, and door panels are in excellent condition, with only minimal wear evident on the driver’s door panel and floor mat.  The Rosewood Metallic finish and Monticello velour interior were featured on the Fleetwood Brougham in the 1975 sales brochure, and this stunning combination draws admirers today, just as it did then.

Under the hood is its original 500 CID V-8, mated to its original three-speed Turbo Hydra-Matic automatic transmission.  Smooth, quiet, and powerful, one drive behind the wheel gives meaning to the maxim “It rides like a Cadillac,” and it becomes clear why this car was the standard by which all other luxury cars of its time were measured.  Having only 61,000 original miles, this car runs and drives as well as it looks.

Originally purchased by a Pittsburgh-area restaurateur, this car was always well maintained, stored indoors, and never driven in the winter.  Upon the original owner’s passing, he left the car to his daughter, who continued to properly care for it until deciding to let someone else enjoy it in 2011.  Recent updates in 2011 include a new heater core, rebuilt alternator, and professionally installed ABS plastic bumper fillersThis Cadillac is ready to enjoy!
