45,000 original miles … Rare production model … Weber Power Products performance upgrades … 3.8 Liter SFI turbocharged engine with intercooler …

Buick introduced its legendary Grand National coupe in 1982.  Named after NASCAR’s Grand National racing series, it was designed to be a factory “street machine,” and featured state of the art technology that rivaled the performance of Chevrolet’s Corvette.  Manufactured from 1982 – 1987, its performance refinements peaked in its final year, featuring a sequential fuel injected 3.8 liter turbocharged V-6 with an intercooler that yielded an impressive 245 horsepower and 355 lb-ft of torque.  Its performance was considered far ahead of its time.

You will love the stunning Grand National you see here.  Having only 45,000 original miles, this car is in top cosmetic and mechanical condition.  Its more recent high quality paint has a brilliant luster, and all exterior badges are like new.  Similarly, the interior, including its seats, carpeting, dashboard, door panels and headliner are in excellent condition and appear as new.

What truly sets this Grand National apart from all others is the abundance of performance upgrades found under the hood.  The engine was completely rebuilt in 2010 at a cost of over $9,000 by Weber Power Products with performance equipment that takes this car to the next level.  Weber Power Products is one of the foremost builders of high performance and race engines in the US.  More significant performance upgrades include the following:

  • Dura Bond high performance cam bearing set
  • Pioneer brass freeze plug kit
  • Billet center main cap
  • Connecting rods
  • Forged Diamond piston and ring set (.020 over)
  • Victor Reinz engine gasket set
  • Ported iron heads
  • Turbo Buick hex head stud kit
  • Rocker shaft hold down kit
  • PAC racing springs
  • Ductile camshaft roller kit
  • Weber-Morel Buick V-6 hydraulic roller lifters
  • Timing chain set
  • Rear main seal
  • Rod bearing set
  • Intake manifold gasket set
  • Ported and polished turbo Buick intake manifold
  • High performance PTC non-lock-up torque converter
  • Shift kit by Jan’s Transmission with 009 injectors
  • Oil and water console gauge package
  • Interior auxiliary switches for lock-in torque converter, auxiliary fan, & headers
  • Garrett GT72 Turbo
  • 21 row intercooler
  • Stainless steel 3” exhaust

Additional information on Weber Power Products can be found at www.weberpowerproducts.com.  These performance upgrades have significantly increased this car’s horsepower and torque, and a Dyno Tune analysis can be obtained if desired.  Other recent updates include drilled and slotted rotors and a high performance brake pad set, newer rims, and brand new BF Goodrich front tires and rear racing slicks.  All original equipment, including the original rims with brand new Goodyear tires, will be included with sale.  In addition, a detailed binder with paperwork for all work done will be provided to the next owner of this car.

All power options, including power windows, power seat, power door locks, power antenna, rear window defroster, and cruise control work as they should.  Even the air conditioning is ice cold.  One item of note is that the right hand remote control mirror does not currently work.  In addition, minor imperfections in the finish do not detract from the overall appearance of the car.

The most recent owner has enjoyed this stunning car since 2001, and the car has travelled less than 1,000 miles since the engine was rebuilt.  With over $32,000 invested, this Grand National is an excellent value.  Please call today!
