Buick introduced its legendary Grand National coupe in 1982. Named after NASCAR’s Grand National racing series, it was designed to be a factory “street machine,” and featured state of the art technology that rivaled the performance of Chevrolet’s Corvette. Manufactured from 1982 – 1987, its performance refinements peaked in its final year, featuring a sequential fuel injected 3.8 liter turbocharged V-6 with an intercooler that yielded an impressive 245 horsepower and 355 lb-ft of torque. Its performance was considered far ahead of its time.
You will love the stunning Grand National you see here. Having only 45,000 original miles, this car is in top cosmetic and mechanical condition. Its more recent high quality paint has a brilliant luster, and all exterior badges are like new. Similarly, the interior, including its seats, carpeting, dashboard, door panels and headliner are in excellent condition and appear as new.
What truly sets this Grand National apart from all others is the abundance of performance upgrades found under the hood. All power options, including power windows, power seat, power door locks, power antenna, rear window defroster, and cruise control work as they should. Even the air conditioning is ice cold. One item of note is that the right hand remote control mirror does not currently work. In addition, minor imperfections in the finish do not detract from the overall appearance of the car.
