Classic Car Facts

If you’re looking for a turn-key street rod that you can begin enjoying from day one, look no further than this gorgeous 1931 Chevrolet 5-window Coupe.  With a fully documented provenance, including the original Bill of Sale, this looker has been owned by just two families since new!  Now is your chance to continue the legacy as its third owner …

Finished in Black Cherry, this street rod has a beautiful luster.  With the exception of its fenders and running boards, this rod is all steel.  It features a fully boxed frame.  Its Black vinyl roof is in excellent condition, as is its chrome and brightwork.  Tinted glass, American Racing wheels and chrome dual exhaust tips complete the package.

The interior is equally attractive, featuring bucket seats and a headliner upholstered in rich Burgundy velour.  A full battery of VDO gauges will keep you informed about what’s going on under the hood.  Its tilting and telescoping Lecarra steering wheel will have you comfortable at the helm.  You’ll also appreciate the ventilation afforded by its front manual crank windshield and rear electrically operated window.  You can also play your favorite tunes on its Pioneer AM/FM stereo cassette.

Under the hood you will find a professionally built 1969 SBC 350 CID V-8 bored .30 over mated to a rebuilt TH350 automatic transmission with a shift kit and 3500 RPM stall converter.  The engine has a 9.5:1 compression ratio and features Keith Black flat top pistons and Summit Racing aluminum heads.  Additional horsepower is afforded by its Edelbrock Power Package, featuring upgraded head, cam, intake, water pump and gaskets.  The rear end is a 10-bolt from a 1965-1966 Nova and features all new 4.11:1 Richmond gears with PowerTrax Locker.  Other performance upgrades include the following:

  • Hi-Torq mini starter
  • Accel distributor
  • Holley 600 cfm 4-barrel carburetor
  • Edelbrock fuel pump
  • Steel Valley fuel tank
  • Powder coated headers
  • 6-inch dropped solid front axle
  • New Vega steering box with cross steer system
  • Front disc brakes with electric line lock
  • Rear drum brakes (1974 Monte Carlo)
  • Master cylinder with synthetic silicone brake fluid (1974 Nova)
  • 4-row custom built radiator with adjustable electric fan
  • 1957 Chevy motor mounts
  • Stock front springs
  • New rear springs
  • New bushings
  • Additional cross member braces & brackets

This rod is extremely reliable and runs and drives as well as it looks.

Minor imperfections in the finish do not detract from the overall appearance of this car.  In addition, total mileage is unknown.

All available receipts from the built will be included with sale, as will a CD featuring photos of the build.  Also included are various spare parts and a set of vinyl front fender covers.

If a classic and fully documented street rod with “the look” is what you desire, this 1931 Chevrolet Sport Coupe is the one for you!
