Classic Car Facts

Looking for a classic 50s cruiser with plenty of eye appeal?  This gorgeous 1955 Ford Fairlane Victoria hardtop coupe is just the ticket.

Fully restored, this Victoria is finished in a stunning two-tone combination of Turquoise and White.  The finish has a beautiful luster that is further accentuated by an abundance of chrome and brightwork that is in excellent condition.   All interior and exterior chrome has been replaced and shows as new.  In addition, the exterior stainless steel trim has been polished to a high luster.  A chrome tipped dual exhaust, dummy side pipes, and wire wheel hub caps add further distinction.  Tastefully applied custom pinstripes complete the package.

The interior is equally pleasing and is finished in colors that echo the exterior.  The seating areas have been reupholstered in the original pattern in Turquoise and White with Turquoise piping.  The door panels, seating areas, carpeting, dashboard, steering wheel, and headliner are all in excellent condition, all having received the same level of attention given the exterior in this car’s restoration.  You will also appreciate this car’s glove box-mounted Kenwood AM/FM stereo with cassette and full complement of AutoMeter gauges.

Under the hood you will find a completely rebuilt 312 CID Ford Y block V-8 bored 30 over mated to a 3-speed manual transmission with overdrive.  The engine also features a mild Isky cam, polished intake and exhaust ports, and custom Redman headers.  Other mechanical enhancements include the following:

  • 12-volt electrical system
  • Custom made aluminum radiator
  • New brakes
  • New bearings
  • New stock suspension
  • New dual exhaust
  • Rebuilt rear end

In addition to five new radial tires, the car also features all new weather stripping and seals.  Having traveled just 600 miles since being rebuilt, this car runs and drives as well as it looks.

It should be noted that the clock is not currently functioning.  In addition, the original fuel and temperature gauges and oil and generator lights have been disconnected since the addition of the AutoMeter gauges, and would need to be converted to 12-volt if their future use was desired.

If a beautifully restored classic in an eye-popping color combination is what you desire, this 1955 Ford Victoria is the car for you!
