Classic Car Facts

Can you have your cake and eat it too?

You can with this comfortable and fun-to-drive 1956 Chevrolet 210 station wagon!  Featuring a modern and reliable powertrain and the looks of Chevrolet’s iconic “tri-5” Chevys, this restomod family cruiser combines the best of both worlds.

Powered by a 6.2 liter Vortec V-8 sourced from a 2010 Silverado, a 4-speed electronic overdrive automatic transmission and locking 3.08 rear differential, this wagon has plenty of get up and go!  You’ll also appreciate its bevy of modern convenience features, including power steering and brakes and ice-cold Vintage air conditioningFuel injection and push button start make startups a breeze; no temperamental carburetors to keep in tune.  This wagon also features other upgrades, including the following:

  • Fully updated wiring
  • Electronic ignition
  • Dual exhaust system
  • New Michelin tires
  • Heavy-duty aluminum radiator
  • Electric cooling fan

Finished in Burgundy metallic, this wagon resided in dry western climates prior to coming to the mid-west in 2021.  It still retains its original chrome and brightwork, which, like the paint, show that this car is a driver and is meant to continue to be enjoyed!  Its tinted windows, S-10 wheels and bright-tipped dual exhaust tips provide just the right amount of distinction on this otherwise stock-appearing wagon.

Inside you will find incredibly comfortable seating for five, with soft and supportive 6-way power black leather seats sourced from a Saab.  Contrasting Burgundy seatbelts for five will give you peace of mind on those ice cream runs with the kids.  Neatly nestled between its front bucket seats is a large and convenient center console, complete with cupholders and storage bin—perfect for stowing miscellaneous sundries on those summer road trips.  You’ll also enjoy its AM/FM stereo and upgraded speakers.  The interior is very thoughtfully designed and comfortable; it feels like a modern car!

One item of note is that with the exception of the fuel gauge, the speedometer and other gauges are not currently working.  In addition, the fuel gauge registers at half full when full.  Total mileage is unknown.

If a fun and reliable family restomod with the look of yesterday and the reliability and performance of today is what you desire, this is the car for you!
