Classic Car Facts

There is perhaps no more iconic car from the 1950s than the 1957 Chevrolet Bel Air.  With its soaring tailfins and abundance of chrome trim, this is a car that is recognized and appreciated all the world over.

Whether cruising or showing is your pleasure, you will love this frame-off restored 1957 Chevrolet Bel Air 2-Door Sedan.  Finished in India Ivory, this car’s gorgeous base coat/clear coat finish is further accentuated by its new brightwork and emblems that shine like new.  Sporty American racing wheels wrapped with BF Goodrich Comp T/A tires and tinted windows complete the package.

This car’s gorgeous exterior was not done at the expense of quality interior workmanship.  The custom interior features seats professionally upholstered in Red and Black original-style materials and sew patterns.  The front bucket seats were sourced from a 1964 Impala, lending a unique touch.  All seating areas feature new foam padding.  You’ll also appreciate its new headliner, interior door panels, carpeting, package tray, kick panels, and windlace, all of which contribute to a fresh look.  Its original-style gauges and instrumentation are supplemented by a full battery of auxiliary gauges, which will keep you fully informed about what’s going on under the hood.  Its Vintage Air blows ice cold and will keep you comfortable on those warm summer days.

Under the hood you will find a heavily chromed and completely rebuilt 327 CID V-8 sourced from a 1968 Corvette.  Power is provided to the Ford 9” rear-end via new 3.70:1 gears and a TH350 3-speed automatic transmission.  Its front power disc brakes and power steering will provide you with confidence on the road.  Other performance updates and upgrades include the following:

  • Keith Black pistons
  • COMP camshaft
  • Moly rings
  • SBI pushrods
  • New lifters, cam, main and rod bearings
  • New exhaust valves, seats and springs
  • New oil pump and pan
  • New rocker assembly
  • Hardened valve stem seals
  • Holley 600 CFM 4-barrel carburetor with electric choke
  • EZ Wiring system, ignition wires, distributor and coil
  • Delco ignition
  • Trunk-mounted battery
  • 160-degree thermostat
  • Derale Performance high output single radiator pusher fan
  • Fan clutch kit
  • Lokar High-Tech kickdown

In addition, this looker benefits from new body mounts, weatherstripping, and window sweep channels.  Running and driving as well as it looks, this baby is ready to go!

Purchased by the most recent owner in 2021 for his daughter’s use on her wedding day, this car has always been properly stored indoors and has seen limited summer pleasure use since.  Included with sale are all restoration records, receipts and photos and manuals, as well as a car cover.  One item of note is that the AM/FM stereo is not currently working.  In addition, although total mileage is unknown, the mileage on the odometer is believed to be the actual mileage since the restoration was completed.

If an iconic classic with an excellent build quality is what you desire, this 1957 Bel Air 2-Door Sedan is the one for you!
