Under 69,000 original miles … Gorgeous and desirable Dusk Rose exterior with coordinating Colonial White interior … Well optioned …

Be the sensation of the neighborhood with this gorgeous 1957 Ford Thunderbird in Dusk Rose!  With its elegantly winged tail lamps and sporty, rakish lines, some consider the 1957 Thunderbird to be the most desirable of first generation Thunderbirds.  This beautiful classic’s exterior is further enhanced by the car’s coordinating Colonial White interior and soft top.

Powered by its original 245 horsepower 312 cubic inch V8 and Ford-O-Matic drive automatic transmission, this car runs and drives as well as it looks.  This classic has traveled under 69,000 miles in its 53 year life, and will thrill for many years to come.

In addition to the luxury features that came standard on this car, making it America’s premier personal luxury sports roadster, the car is well equipped with the following optional items:

  • Engine dress kit
  • Ford-O-Matic drive automatic transmission
  • Power brakes
  • Power steering
  • Power seat
  • Whitewall tires
  •  “Town and Country” signal seek radio
  • Full wheel covers
  • Telescope steering wheel

Originally a California car, this car underwent a cosmetic restoration in 1986 at a shop specializing in Thunderbird restorations located just north of Detroit, Michigan.  At this time, the car was repainted in its original color, and the interior and engine compartment were freshened.  In addition, the convertible top was replaced at this time.  Subsequent to the car’s restoration, the bumpers were professionally rechromed in 1992.  Since being restored, the car has traveled under 3,000 miles, generally only a couple hundred miles per summer for pleasure drives.

A few items of note are that the radio and clock do not work.  Additionally, although the paint has a nice shine, given time and use since restoration, it does exhibit some minor chips and other imperfections that have been touched up over the years.  In addition, the chrome on the door handles and steering column show some minor pitting.  The convertible top is in good condition, with no rips or tears, and has a crystal clear plastic rear window.  However, as the top was stowed for many years, it could use a cleaning.  The interior is very presentable, showing light wear and some slight discoloration on the door handles.  In addition, the bias ply tires exhibit some dry rotting, and will require replacement prior to driving significant distances.  A spare tire is included with the car, but it does not have a jack.

The most recent owner owned and enjoyed this car since July 1986.  Under his ownership, the car was always properly stored indoors and covered.

Don’t miss out on this fantastic opportunity to acquire this first generation Thunderbird in very desirable Dusk Rose at a very reasonable price.  Enjoy as is, or take to the next level with minimal investment.
