Classic Car Facts

39,000 Original Miles … Exquisite Regal Black exterior with contrasting Red leather interior … Rare factory bucket seats with center console … 325 HP 401 cubic inch V8 …

Relive the sophisticated elegance of the 1960s with this exquisite 1963 Buick Electra 225.  Finished in Raven Black with a contrasting Red leather interior, this car’s understated lines are further accentuated by an abundance of chrome and stainless steel bright work.  This classic also features extremely rare factory bucket seats with center console.  Best of all, the car has only traveled 39,000 miles in its 47 year life!

Powered by its original 325 horsepower 401 cubic inch V8 and automatic transmission, this car runs and drives as well as it looks.  Its smooth, silent, and powerful performance, combined with its distinctive looks, long hallmarks of Buick design, are testament to what made these cars so popular among those of refinement.

In addition to the luxury features that came standard on this car, it is well equipped with the following optional items:

  • Power windows
  • Power driver’s seat
  • Leather interior
  • Bucket seats
  • Center console

Originally purchased from Fowler Shinn-Buick Inc. of Jenkintown, PA, the owners moved to Texas shortly after its purchase, where the car resided for the next 40 years, accounting for its rust-free condition today.  In the early 2000s, the car was acquired by an Ohio collector, where it has since resided.  The car was always properly maintained, and benefits from newer tires and an exhaust system that is less than a year old.

A few items of note are that the clock and rear back-up lights do not currently work.  Additionally, although the paint has a nice shine, given time and use, it does exhibit some minor chips and other imperfections that have been touched up over the years.  In addition, the chrome on the bumpers does exhibit some very minor pitting, but is in overall excellent condition.  Additionally, there is a slight depression in the rear bumper to the left of the license plate that should be noted.  None of these items detract from the overall appearance of the car.  The trunk lining material is discolored in places, but NOS lining material will be provided with the car for future replacement if so desired.  Also included with sale is the original owner’s manual.

All interior and exterior stainless steel bright work is in excellent condition.  The interior shows extremely well, with the dashboard, rear package shelf, door panels, rear seatbacks and carpeting showing virtually as new.  In addition, the original headliner is as white as snow.  The leather seats are still soft and supple, but do exhibit minimal stress marks.

If a low mileage and extremely rare-optioned mid-1960s Buick in a sophisticated color combination is what you desire, this is the car for you.
