Classic Car Facts

If you’re after a mid-60s Mopar with a racing heritage and plenty of eye appeal, you will love this 1964 Plymouth Belvedere.

Finished in Bright Red with a White hardtop, this looker offers plenty of options.  Originally a rust-free low mileage 318 car owned by an older lady, the most recent owner turned the car into a strip car that was dialed in at 12 seconds.  It is powered by a 1969 440 CID V-8 engine with vintage 1963 or 1964 Max Wedge intake and AFB carbs.  The car was professionally built and raced by Precision Automotive.  Since being raced, it has since been converted back to a street car, and has less than 100 miles on the rebuilt 440 engine.  It currently features an automatic transmission and a posi 8 ¾ rear-end.  Other performance enhancements include the following:

  • Aluminum radiator
  • Electric fan
  • Electric fuel pump
  • NHRA-sanctioned all metal/braided fuel lines
  • Painless wiring
  • MSD high energy ignition & coil
  • NHRA-sanctioned trunk-mounted aluminum battery cases
  • Full dual exhaust
  • Headers
  • Drilled front disc brakes
  • Dual chamber master cylinder

If there is any doubt about the quality of this car’s build, this Belvedere was used in promotional materials for Summit Racing—the premier supplier of automotive racing equipment.

The interior of this car is believed to be original and is in excellent condition, featuring vinyl seats finished in eye-catching red and white.  Its full complement of AutoMeter gauges, including a tachometer with shift light, volt meter, oil pressure, water temperature, and fuel pressure gauges, will keep you informed about what’s going on under the hood.

The Belvedere currently features a fiberglass dual-snorkel hood, but the original hood will be included with sale, as will a large folder full of receipts relating to the build.   Centerline wheels, racing slicks, and four spare transmission cores are also available at additional cost.  Please inquire.

If an attention-grabbing Mopar with both strip and street options is what you desire, this 1964 Plymouth Belvedere is the car for you!
