Classic Car Facts

Although there have been several generations of Mustangs since the first generation, it will always be those that were produced from 1964 – 1966 that are most remembered.  And it was not without reason that these Mustangs have become an American icon—with their sporty styling and abundant options, they were the right car for the right time for a whole generation of Americans, and their popular appeal endures to this day.

This gorgeous 1965 Mustang is finished in its original color of Rangoon Red. Its finish has a nice luster that is further accentuated by its chrome and brightwork.  Stock hub caps with spinners lend a sporty and authentic look to this classic driver.  Chrome-tipped dual exhaust tips complete the look.

Inside this Mustang’s sporty cockpit you will find a center console and bucket seats finished in black vinyl.  The newly recovered seating areas, dashboard, door panels, headliner, and carpeting are all in very good condition.  A full complement of gauges is housed in the center console, but they are not currently connected.  Music is provided by an aftermarket AM/FM stereo cassette with a retro graphic equalizer and rear speakers.

Under the hood of this A-code Mustang you will find a chromed and neatly presented 4-barrel carbureted 289 CID V-8 from 1968 mated to 3-speed automatic transmission.  You’ll also appreciate the convenience of power steering and power brakes.  Best of all, this pony runs and drives as well as it looks.

This Mustang benefits from the following recent updates:

  • New fuel tank
  • Rebuilt carburetor
  • New radiator
  • New water pump
  • New hoses
  • New rear leaf springs
  • New power steering cylinder pump & control valve
  • New alternator
  • New battery
  • New power brake booster & master cylinder
  • New tires

Originally a California car prior to coming to Ohio, this car had one owner from the late 1970s through 2018.  Minor imperfections in the finish and chrome do not detract from the overall appearance of this car.  In addition, the 5-digit odometer shows approximately 17,000 miles, which is reflected on the clear Ohio title as being over, but total mileage is unknown.

Make today the day to put this iconic pony in your stall!
