Recently restored, this gorgeous 1965 Ford Mustang hardtop coupe is finished in Candy Apple Red, and features a coordinating Red and White vinyl interior.  Its enamel finish has a beautiful luster which is further enhanced by chrome and brightwork that is in excellent condition.  Its new wheels and tires, hood scoop, and fog lamps complete its sporty look.

This Mustang’s new interior is a real eye catcher!  Its fit and finish is of excellent quality, and features embroidered ponies on the seatbacks and door panels.  Its factory ice cold air conditioning will keep you comfortable on warm summer days.  You will also appreciate its power steering and AM/FM stereo cassette.  It also features a center console with storage bin and cup holders, and Summit Racing tachometer and oil pressure gauge.  The storage console is attached with Velcro and can be easily removed if so desired for purists, but does make a handy addition.

Under the hood you will find a newly rebuilt 289 CID V-8 mated to a brand new C-4 automatic transmission.  Heavily chromed, the engine compartment does not disappoint from an appearance or performance standpoint.  It features many performance upgrades from Summit Racing, including Edelbrock carburetor, intake, and valve covers.  In addition, its performance dual exhaust lends a satisfying exhaust note.  This beauty runs and drives as well as it looks.

Originally a Texas car, it also spent much of its life in California.  A three year mechanical and cosmetic restoration was completed in 2010.  It has been driven less than 500 miles since that time.

One item of note is that the passenger’s side door latch spring mechanism should be replaced, but a new unit will be included with sale for installation by its next owner.  In addition, it should be noted that the horn works sporadically, and minor imperfections in the finish do not detract from the overall appearance of the car.  Mileage since its restoration is less than 500 miles, but total mileage is unknown.

Included with sale is all original paperwork from the original owner, including the Ford Owner Card and registration papers.  In addition, you will appreciate service and maintenance records spanning almost five decades, as well as all receipts from its recent restoration.  The original owner’s manual and a custom car cover will also be included with sale.
