Although there have been several generations of Mustangs since the first generation, it will always be those that were produced from 1964 – 1966 that are most remembered.  And it was not without reason that these Mustangs have become an American icon—with their sporty styling and abundant options, they were the right car for the right time for a whole generation of Americans, and their popular appeal endures to this day.

This 1965 Mustang 2+2 Fastback is finished in its original color of Vintage Burgundy Metallic and features a contrasting White vinyl interior. Its finish has still holds a shine, but has seen some use since last repainted.  The interior also shows some wear, particularly to the driver’s seat and door panels, but is otherwise generally presentable for a driver quality car.  Other features you’ll appreciate are its factory air conditioning, auxiliary oil pressure and temperature gauges, and its Alpine AM/FM stereo with trunk-mounted CD changer.

Under the hood you will find a 289 CID V-8 which is mated to a 3-speed automatic transmission.  This classic also features a dual exhaust system, which will reward you with a satisfying rumble with a tap of the gas pedal.  Its power steering will also add to your driving pleasure.

More recent mechanical work performed includes the following:

• New battery
• New starter
• New fuel pump
• Upper control arm assemblies
• Upper A-frame & ball joint assemblies

One item of note is that the air conditioning engages, but does not blow cold.  In addition, the odometer shows 5,887 miles, but total mileage is unknown.  It should also be noted that the antenna, passenger’s side mirror, and original sales brochure will also be included with sale.
