Chevelle Restomod

Classic Car Facts

The Chevrolet Chevelle has long been synonymous with pure American muscle.  With its sporty styling and reputation for performance, it’s no wonder that it was the most popular mid-sized car in America.  1972 saw the end of the second generation of Chevelles, which is one of the most sought-after generations today.

This gorgeous 1970 Chevelle SS clone restomod is wrapped in Satin Black vinyl and features aggressive Silver rallye stripes that extend the full length of its body and bumpers.  Its matte finish gives this restomod an undeniably cool vibe.  20” TSW rotary forged aluminum alloy cast wheels wrapped with low-profile tires provide a striking contrast this car’s otherwise monochromatic look.  Dual chrome-tipped exhaust pipes and tinted glass complete the look.

The interior of this Chevelle handsomely echoes its exterior color scheme, featuring newly recovered Black vinyl seating areas.  Its new dash pad, carpeting, and interior door panels lend a fresh look to the interior. You’ll also appreciate its newly restored SS gauge cluster, which includes an odometer, tachometer, temperature, amps, and fuel gauges, and working clock.  Its upgraded AM/FM stereo includes a USB port and is mated to a brand-new amp and kick panel-mounted speakers. New red-edged carpeted floor mats provide just the right amount of spark.

Under the hood you will find a neatly detailed and heavily chromed and powder coated engine compartment.  Powered by a freshly rebuilt 350 CID V-8 bored 30 over and a newly rebuilt TH 400 automatic transmission with a 12 bolt 3.73 rear end, this Chevelle features many performance upgrades, including the following:

  • Eagle crank, cam, connecting rods, push rods & cylinders
  • Edelbrock E-Street USA aluminum heads
  • Edelbrock Endurashine intake manifold
  • Edelbrock 650 4-barrel carburetor
  • Roller rockers
  • Hooker headers
  • Flowmaster dual exhaust with 3” pipes
  • Drilled and slotted front disc brakes
  • Painless wiring
  • Electronic ignition
  • Champion aluminum radiator with dual electric fans
  • Torque converter
  • B&M shifter

This Chevelle also features a remote-adjustable Ridetech air suspension system that will enable you to position the car in virtually any position you desire; drop it to the ground at shows and you’ll quickly attract a crowd!  Its power steering and brakes will have you harnessing its estimated 485 horsepower with ease.

Other recent updates include a new trunk-mounted battery, alternator, fuel tank, and fuel lines.  Having just 200 miles since completed, this car is ready for its new owner.  All build receipts will be included with sale.

One item of note is that the heater is not currently connected.  In addition, although this car was originally equipped with factory air conditioning, it is no longer with the car.

If restomod with “the look” is what you desire, look no further than this attention-grabbing 1970 Chevelle.
