Classic Car Facts

There is something very alluring about the clean, chiseled lines of the early-1970s full size Oldsmobiles.  The restrained, yet elegant, designs of these cars are timeless.  Adorned by just the right amount of chrome, their lines speak for themselves, and definitely make a statement.

If this type of styling appeals to you, you will love this low mileage 1970 Oldsmobile Ninety-Eight LS Hardtop Sedan.  Refinished in its original color of Copper Mist Metallic, this car’s finish has a beautiful luster that is further accentuated by its chrome trim and brightwork.  Its original Black vinyl top provides a beautiful contrast and shows as new, further accentuating its formal roofline.

This Oldsmobile’s original interior is equally luxurious, and features a gorgeous filigree pattern in Odessa cloth with contrasting accents of Fame Cloth in Black.  Simulated woodgrain on the dashboard and door panels lends an air of sophisticated beauty.  You’ll also appreciate the abundance of comfort and convenience items, including the following:

  • Vari-ratio power steering
  • Front power disc brakes
  • Power windows
  • Electric clock
  • AM/FM stereo with cassette

With the exception of the electric clock and air conditioning, all power options work as they should.

Under the hood you will find the original 455 CID V-8 that generates an impressive 365 horsepower and 510 lb-ft of torque.  The engine is mated to its original 3-speed Turbo Hydro-matic 400 automatic transmission.  Recent updates include newer shocks and springs.  Having just 56,600 original miles, this car runs and drives as well as it looks.

Minor imperfections in the finish and some pitting of the exterior chrome should be noted, but these do not detract from the overall appearance of this car.  There is also minor wear in the interior.

This two-owner car has been owned by the most recent owner since 1985 and has always been stored indoors and regularly maintained.  Included with sale is the original AM radio.

If a well maintained, luxurious Oldsmobile that is ready to enjoy is what you desire, this Ninety-Eight LS is for you!
