Rebuilt 302 CID V-8 ... Mild cam ... Edelbrock aluminum intake ... Holley 4 barrel ... Brand new TCI C-4 automatic ... Legend Lime ...
If you’re looking for early 70s muscle car looks and performance that are easy on the wallet, look no further than our 1971 Ford Maverick.
Recently refinished in Legend Lime—the same color available on the “retro” 2005-2006 Mustang GTs—this Maverick’s Black accents give it just the right amount of pop. The finish has a beautiful luster. Its sporty vibe is further enhanced by new tires wrapped around Weld Racing Prostar street legal wheels.
The interior is finished in coordinating Black, and features vinyl seats, new interior door panels, carpeting, and headliner. Sound deadening material has been placed above the headliner, below the carpeting, and inside the interior panels. You’ll also appreciate its new leather-wrapped Grant GT steering wheel and Kenwood AM/FM stereo with CD player with remote control. A new bank of Sunpro auxiliary gauges will keep you informed about what’s going on under the hood.
Powered by a recently rebuilt 302 CID V-8 with a mild cam, this Maverick also features a brand new TCI C4 three-speed automatic transmission. Its 3500 stall converter and 4:11 8” Ford rear end gear ratio make it a blast to drive. Its Edelbrock aluminum intake and a brand new Holley 600 CFM 4-barrel carburetor ensure that power is ready on demand. The brand new dual exhaust with Flowmasters has just the right amount of rumble to put a smile on your face. No slouch on the road, this car is light on weight and heavy on power.
The engine was rebuilt approximately 1,000 miles ago, at which time new bearings, rings, and valve stem seals were installed. In addition to a valve grind, a new oil pump and timing chain were also installed. Other recent mechanical updates include the following:
In addition, new weatherstripping and new front and rear window seals and felts give the car an overall tidy appearance.
One item of note is that the odometer shows approximately 55,000 miles, but total mileage is unknown. In addition, although the blinkers work, they do not indicate as working on the dashboard. It should also be noted that minor imperfections in the finish and brightwork do not detract from the overall appearance of this car. An extra set of freshly painted black bumpers will also be provided with sale if desired.
If a get-in-and go car with the brawn to match its sporty looks is what you desire, this Maverick is the car for you!
