Classic Car Facts

One Owner Since 1980!

There is something very captivating about Corvettes.  They have long captured the imaginations of generations of sports car lovers.  If you didn’t have one, you wanted one, and if you were lucky enough to own one, you cherished it.

One such “cherished” one is this stunning 1974 Corvette Stingray—a car enjoyed by its most recent owner since 1980. Finished in eye-catching Corvette Medium Blue Metallic, this Corvette is one of less than 3,494 Corvettes produced in 1974 with the powerful L-82 engine and M-21 close ratio 4-speed manual transmission.  Its finish has a beautiful luster that is further accentuated by its sporty rallye wheels and BF Goodrich raised white letter radials.  “Astro Ventilation” t-tops and dual exhaust complete the package.

Sportiness on this Corvette is not relegated to exterior styling alone, and its interior will not disappoint.  It features comfortable bucket seats finished in Dark Blue vinyl and a center console that will surround you like a cockpit.  Full instrumentation will keep you fully informed about what’s going on under the hood, and its optional power steering and power front disc brakes will keep you firmly in control on those twisty two-lanes.

Under the hood you will find the original L-82 350 CID V-8 engine, which is mated to its original M-21 close ratio 4-speed manual transmission.  This powerhouse generates an impressive 250 horsepower and 285 lbs.-ft of torque and its original 3.55 posi rear-end provides plenty of punch.  Chrome valve covers are currently in place, but the original valve covers, which have been refinished, are included with sale.  Regularly maintained through the years, and having just 60,600 original miles, this Corvette runs and drives as well as it looks.

Originally sold from Gallucci Chevrolet Co. of Medina, Ohio, this car retains all of its original paperwork, including the original dealer invoice, window sticker, glove box manuals, deposit receipt, salesman’s business card and correspondence with the original owner.  So loved was this car that the original owner even saved the original dealer inventory paper key tag!  The documentation included with sale is a virtual treasure trove of information for Corvette purists!

The current owner was actively involved in area Corvette clubs and enjoyed showing this beauty, as well as participating in judging at various Corvette shows.  Always properly stored indoors, and never driven as primary transportation, this was a very well cared for car.  Such was her care that it has never been through a car wash, nor seen a hose taken to it during her ownership; she would only hand wash it with a bucket.  Included with sale are her hand-written service log as well as related service records.

One item of note is that the radio turns on, but does not function as it should and the headlamp knob is loose.  Also included with sale is a custom car cover and NOS armrest covers.

If a rare L-82 Corvette with plenty of eye appeal is what you desire, this 1974 Corvette convertible is the one for you!
