Classic Car Facts

1975 was a milestone year for Corvette, marking the final year a convertible C3 would be offered.  Lovers of open air Corvettes would have to wait until the mid-1980s for the convertible to return.  Chevrolet Motor Division turned out only 4,629 convertible Corvettes in 1975—a figure that represented the lowest convertible production since 1956—contributing to its rarity and collector desirability today.

This gorgeous 1975 Corvette Convertible features a striking Silver exterior and a Medium Saddle leather interior.  More recently refinished in its original color, this Corvette’s finish has a brilliant luster.  It also features two tops—a new Black soft top, and its original Silver hardtopRallye wheels and dual exhaust complete the package.

The interior is equally pleasing and features its original Medium Saddle leather interior.  The seating areas, steering wheel, dash board, door panels, carpeting and center console all show very well, exhibiting only minor wear.  You will also appreciate this car’s optional comfort and convenience options, including the following:

  • Power windows
  • Power brakes
  • Power steering
  • Four-season air conditioning
  • Map light
  • Tilt steering wheel
  • Dual horns
  • Factory alarm
  • AM/FM stereo radio

With the exception of the clock, all power options work as they should, including the ice cold air conditioning.  The car currently features a Pioneer AM/FM stereo with a 12-disc CD changer, but the original working radio will also be included with sale.

Under the hood you will find its original L-48 350 CID V-8 engine, which is mated to its original Turbo Hydra-matic three-speed automatic transmission.  Having just 79,200 original miles, this well maintained car runs and drives as well as it looks, having regularly been driven in the summers and on trips.

If you are a fan of authenticity, this Corvette is Bloomington Silver Certified.  According to the National Corvette Certification Board, “this Corvette, on the basis of its originality and condition, has been judged to appear within 90% – 94% of ‘Typical Factory Production.’”  Clearly, this car has been cherished by its long-term owners—the most recent owner having enjoyed it for the past 22 years.  Always dealer serviced, all available service records will be provided to the next owner of this car, as will the original owner’s manuals.

If a rare convertible in an eye-catching color combination is what you desire, this Bloomington Silver Certified 1975 Corvette convertible is the car for you!
