Finished in eye-catching Leaf Green Metallic, this car was always stored indoors, never driven in winter, and always received the best of care, primarily from area Datsun dealerships, as the service records from 1976 onwards attest.  Powered by Datsun’s legendary racing-inspired inline 2.8 liter 6 cylinder engine, this car features a four speed manual transmission and road-holding steering that allow for complete driver control, and respectable gas mileage, by today’s standards.  Aftermarket Recaro seats with headrest-integrated stereo speakers and MOMO Prototipo steering wheel add to the sportiness and comfort of this car.  However, if complete originality is what you desire, the original black vinyl bucket seats and steering wheel, which are in excellent condition, can always be reinstalled by the next owner as they will be included with the car.

Purchased from Stang Motor Sales, Inc. in Elyria, Ohio on September 2, 1976, the original owner cherished this car, saving virtually all original paperwork, service records, Z-related magazine articles, and Z Club Bulletins from 1977 and 1978 when he was a member of the Z Club of America.  Most interesting and unique of these items, all of which will be included with the car, are the original window sticker and Datsun Pre-delivery Inspection Record, which is checked off and signed by the pre-delivery technician.  In addition, a copy of the original title will be included.  There are even copies of correspondence with the Z Club of America and with Nissan Motor Corporation USA!  Other items that will be included with this car are the original owner’s manual, guarantee and service booklet, including periodic maintenance service verification records stamped by the dealer, and the 1976 Datsun 280Z Service Manual.  The original owner somewhat reluctantly sold this car, only to make room for a new Porsche 911.

This car is in excellent condition, as the pictures provided attest.  All of the wheels are free of any imperfections, and look brand new.  Even the ice cold air-conditioning works as it did in 1976.  With only approximately 90,000 miles, given the level of care that this car received through the years, it will likely continue to thrill for many years to come.

In addition to the items mentioned above, also included with the sale of the car are a bra, and many of the original parts that were replaced through the years, such as hoses, brake discs, etc.  Some other unused NOS maintenance items are also included.
