Bloomington Gold Certified Survivor … Corvette Yellow … Brown leather interior … T-tops … 73,000 original miles … Original paperwork … Ice cold A/C …

There is something very captivating about Corvettes.  They have long captivated the imaginations of generations of car enthusiasts.  If you didn’t have one, you wanted one, and if you were lucky enough to own one, you cherished it.

One such “cherished” one is this beautiful 1977 Corvette.  Finished in Corvette Bright Yellow—a color in which less than 4% of 1977 Corvettes were finished—this car has a mirror-like luster.  Similarly, the contrasting Brown leather interior is virtually free of wear, as are the dash board, door panels, and carpeting.

Under the hood, you will find the original 350 CID V-8, which is mated to the original Turbo-hydramatic three speed automatic transmission.  Now having less than 73,000 original miles, this car runs and drives as well as it looks, and has proved very reliable on several long-distance trips.  You will also appreciate this car’s long list of optional features, including the following:

  • Power windows
  • Air conditioning
  • Rear window defogger
  • Sport mirrors
  • Cruise control
  • Tilt/telescopic steering wheel
  • AM/FM stereo radio with 8-track cassette
  • Aluminum wheels
  • T-tops with storage covers

With the exception of the clock and trip odometer, all options work as they should, including the ice cold air conditioning.

Optional equipment and eye-catching color aside, what makes this car even more desirable is its status as a Bloomington Gold “SURVIVOR”—a designation that few Corvettes attain.  This car was evaluated by a panel of judges who found that “the majority of [its] historic characteristics appear to have been preserved for over two decades [and] it has survived the perils, abuse, fads and restorations common to most Corvettes.”  As such, it was the conclusion of the National Corvette Survivor Board that “it is in the best interest of historic research to preserve this automobile in its present state as a model for Corvette restoration.”  The Bloomington Gold Survivor Certificate of Historic Preservation and judging form will be included with sale.

Also adding to its authenticity are its original sales invoice from Burt Greenwald Chevrolet, owner’s manual, and a copy of the original window sticker.  All maintenance records and the original owner’s hand-written log of each tank of fuel purchased will also be included with sale.  In addition, two matching Goodyear Eagle ST tires and a spare tail lamp, console fascia, and AM/FM Stereo with 8-track cassette will be provided to the next owner of this car.

Having just three long-term owners, the most recent owner has enjoyed this car for the past 17 years.  Be the next to delight in this eye-catching and carefully preserved Corvette!
