The open road awaits you with this gorgeous fully restored 1980 Chevrolet Corvette!  Finished in striking Claret, this car’s flawless finish has a mirror-like luster.  The exterior is further enhanced by a showroom new Oyster leather interior for a pleasing look that is sure to garner attention on the road and at car shows alike.

Powered by its original 350 cubic inch V8, this car runs and drives as well as it looks.  The original engine was rebuilt in 2004 during the car’s restoration, and has been driven under 16,000 miles since that time, bringing the car’s total mileage to 78,000 miles.  Additionally, the car’s original transmission was replaced in 2008 with a new 700 R/4 transmission featuring overdrive.  In addition to the car’s fully restored and detailed engine compartment, the undercarriage is as clean as the rest of the car.

This car features all of the luxury and convenience items one would expect on America’s premier sports car, including power windows, power door locks, cruise control, ice cold air conditioning, tilt/telescope steering wheel and rear window defogger. All of these features function as they should, with the exception of the clock.  In addition to the luxury features that came standard on this car, it also features an optional leather interior and mirrored T-tops with a factory rear-mounted carrying rack, which is an extremely rare option among Corvettes of this year.  The carrying rack comes with its original storage case, and enables one to maximize interior storage space during road trips when the T-tops are stowed.

In addition to the items noted above, other significant items replaced or refurbished during the car’s restoration include the following:

A professional appraisal was made of this car in 2007, which indicated a value of $22,000, attesting to the quality of the restoration performed.  This appraisal, as well as a photograph album documenting the restoration process, all receipts and service records, several Corvette restoration reference books, and Corvette shop manuals will be included with sale.  Original parts replaced during restoration were generally retained, and several boxes of these parts will also be included with sale.

The original owner of this car owned it for the first two years of its life.  It was then acquired by a gentleman who owned it for the next 20 years, selling it to the most recent owner in August 2002, who then undertook its first class restoration.  Since being restored, the car has always received the best of care, ensuring that it will thrill for many years to come.
