F-150 Ranger

351 CID V-8

Classic Car Facts

There is something very appealing about the full-size Ford trucks from the 1980s.  With their clean, unpretentious styling and rugged powertrains, it is easy to see why these trucks have been the best-selling pickups in the United States since 1977.

Finished in Medium Blue Metallic, this southern 1980 Ford F-150 Ranger is clean, clean, clean!  Its newer finish has a beautiful luster, and its chrome and brightwork shine beautifully.  Its sporty chrome wheels are wrapped with raised white letter tires, giving just the right amount of pop.  Tinted windows, chrome dual exhaust tips and “V-8” badging complete the look.  You’ll also appreciate its black bedliner, which provides an attractive and practical touch.

You’ll also be impressed with the condition of this F-150’s interior, which features upgraded Ranger accouterments.  More recently reupholstered, the bench seat is finished in an attractive combination of light- and dark-blue cloth and vinyl featuring a distinctive diamond sew pattern.  The same cloth is also used on the interior door panels, providing an attractive and fully integrated look.  The interior also features a new dash pad cover and new carpeting.  You’ll also appreciate this truck’s Pioneer AM/FM stereo and CD player.  In addition, a full complement of factory gauges will keep you informed about what’s going on under the hood.

Powered by an optional 351 CID V-8 and 3-speed automatic transmission, this truck has plenty of get up and go!  Its power steering and power front disc brakes will keep you firmly in control at the helm.  Performance enhancements include an Edelbrock intake and 4-barrel carburetor, dual exhaust system, and electronic ignition.  It also benefits from the following more recent mechanical updates:

  • New fuel tank
  • New brake rotors
  • New brake hoses
  • New shocks
  • New dual exhaust

The door seals have also more recently been replaced.  Having just 93,400 original miles, this truck runs and drives as well as it looks.

One item of note is that the air conditioning is not currently working.

If a clean and well-preserved pickup is what you desire, this 1980 Ford F-150 Ranger is the truck for you!
