Classic Car Facts

“A Pinto pickup truck?”

“Ford never made a Pinto pickup!”  You are absolutely right—Ford never did made a Pinto pickup.  But if they did, it would look like this little sweetheart.  If you like attention, you’ll get plenty of it in this number!

Professionally built, this one-of-a-kind 1980 Pinto pickup is finished in White with Metallic Copper stripes and hand-painted design motifs that give it an unmistakable late 70s/early 80s vibe.  Its finish has a beautiful luster.  The bed of the truck has been outfitted with genuine oak and features a handy storage compartment—perfect for stowing detailing supplies.  Bright dual exhaust tips and Billet Specialties mag wheels complete the look, as do its flush-mounted Corvette door handles.

Inside this truck you will find a custom interior finished in Tan cloth and featuring comfortable bucket seats and a center console.  A neatly trimmed rear area adorned by the blue oval houses the battery and additional interior storage space.  Oak accents on the dash board echo its beautifully done bed.  Other features of note are its power windows, full array of gauges, and custom Kenwood AM/FM stereo with MP3 capability.

Under the hood is a neatly detailed and heavily chromed engine compartment.  Powered by a 302 CID V-8 engine and a C-4 three-speed automatic transmission, this little truck moves!  Other performance enhancements include the following:

  • Edelbrock intake
  • Holley 4-barrel carburetor
  • Electronic ignition
  • Ford Motorsport chrome valve covers
  • Weiand chrome cleaner
  • Mustang II front suspension
  • Ford 9” posi rear-end
  • Dual exhaust system
  • Power steering
  • Power front disc brakes

Best of all, this truck runs and drives as well as it looks.

One item of note is that the ammeter gauge is not currently working.  In addition, although the odometer shows 17,300 miles, total mileage is unknown.

If a one-of-a-kind pickup that gets the looks is what you desire, this 1980 Pinto is the one for you!
