“Congratulations on the wisdom of your choice.  Choosing a 1983 Cadillac as your new car says a lot about you.  It identifies you as someone who demands quality.  Who appreciates luxury.  And who understands the significance of total Cadillac value.”

These are the words with which R.D. Burger, VP, General Motors Corporation General Manager; Cadillac Motor Car Division, welcomed new owners to the Cadillac fold in 1983.  These sentiments are just as relevant today.

Make the quality, luxury, and value of a Cadillac your own with this beautifully maintained, rust free, and extremely low mileage 1983 Cadillac Fleetwood Brougham 2-door coupe.  Whereas production of the 4-door Fleetwood Broughams exceeded 38,000 in 1983, production of the 2-door Fleetwood Broughams was significantly less, with a total of only 5,200 2-door coupes seeing the light of day in 1983, which makes finding a 2-door coupe in this condition with only 20,000 original miles quite rare.  Why settle for a more common 4-door when you can have a 2-door Fleetwood Brougham?

Finished in its original Briar Firemist finish with coordinating velour interior, this car is the epitome of understated elegance.  The original factory paint has a brilliant luster, and is without imperfections of any kind; no nicks, chips, scratches, or dings mar its beautiful finish.  Briar Firemist was one of six optional Firemist colors offered in 1983, and its rarity among Fleetwood Broughams truly sets this car apart from its peers.  This gorgeous color is further enhanced by this car’s abundance of chrome and bright-workwhich is also in flawless condition.  Inside the car, the seats, door panels, headliner, carpeting, and original floor mats are virtually completely free of wear and look as good as they did in 1983, when this car left the showroom floor.

You will also appreciate the level of luxury features with which this car is equipped, including the following:

•  Power windows
•  Power locks

•  Six-way power seats
•  Power antenna
•  Power trunk release
•  Power trunk pull-down
•  Tilt and telescope steering wheel
•  Cruise control
•  Rear window defroster with heated outside mirrors
•  Symphony sound AM/FM stereo cassette with Dynamic Noise Reduction
•  Intermittant delay windshield wipers
•  Illuminated entry system
•  Illuminated vanity mirrors
•  Carpeted Cadillac floor mats
•  Wire wheel covers

All of these items work as they should, including the car’s ice cold air conditioning.

This car still sports its original Goodyear tires.  The car runs and drives beautifully, with tight and laser straight steering, seamless transmission shifts, and smooth and quiet acceleration—long hallmarks of the Cadillac tradition.  In fact, it was driven over 200 miles home after acquisition without issue, averaging 22 MPG.  The car also benefits from a new fuel pump, although the original was retained and will be provided with sale.  Also included with sale is the original owners’ literature portfolio, including 1983 Owner’s Manual, Warranty Information, Maintenance Schedule, and Consumer Information.  Other paperwork provided with sale include the Goodyear Tire Limited Warranty, the GM Continuous Protection Plan Agreement, “Welcome to the World of Cadillac” brochure, and the original Odometer Mileage Statement from the dealership.

This car was originally acquired from Bryson Motors, Inc. of Uniontown, PA in March of 1983 by Mr. and Mrs. Andrew Strcula, who lovingly cared for and maintained it for the next 26 years.  After Mr. Strcula’s death in 2009, Mrs. Strcula sold the car to another older couple who were close friends.  Shortly after acquiring the car, the gentleman became sick and subsequently passed away in 2010.  The car was purchased as a pleasure car for him, and his widow, having never driven it, felt the Cadillac was too big to drive.  Thus she decided to move the car on its way.  Over the course of its 27 year life, this classic has had only two owners, one for the first 26 years.  This car always received the best of care and was always properly stored indoors.

Make today the day to enjoy the quality, luxury, and value inherent in this low mileage and low production classic!
