Classic Car Facts

Finished in optional Beech Firemist Metallic, this gorgeous 1983 Cadillac Fleetwood Brougham Coupe features a matching elk grain cabriolet vinyl roof and Ivory pinstripes.  Its finish is in excellent condition, and its original vinyl roof shows as new.  Beech Firemist was one of six optional Firemist colors offered in 1983, and its rarity among Fleetwood Broughams truly sets this car apart from its peers, as does its low production; whereas production of the 4-door Fleetwood Broughams exceeded 38,000 in 1983, production of the 2-door Fleetwood Broughams was only 5,200, making this low mileage coupe quite rare. You will also be impressed with this car’s abundance of chrome and brightwork, which is also in excellent condition.  Optional door edge guards and wire wheel covers provide additional refinement.

The interior is equally impressive, featuring sumptuous matching Heather cloth velour seating areas.  The seats show virtually as new.  Similarly, the dashboard, door panels, carpeting, and headliner are all in excellent condition.  Even the original factory floor mats are virtually free of wear!  You’ll also appreciate this car’s abundance of comfort and convenience features, including the following:

  • Power windows
  • Power door locks
  • 6-way power driver & passenger seats
  • Power trunk lid release & pull down
  • Electronic level control
  • Twilight Sentinel
  • Illuminated entry system
  • Rear passenger reading lamps
  • Tilt & telescope steering wheel
  • Rear window defroster with heated outside mirrors
  • Controlled cycle wiper system
  • Cruise control
  • Automatic Climate Control

All power options work as they should with the exception of the automatic climate control.  In addition, minor imperfections in the finish and door edge guards do not detract from the overall appearance of the car.

The car runs and drives beautifully, with tight and laser straight steering, seamless transmission shifts, and smooth and quiet acceleration—long hallmarks of the Cadillac tradition.  Having just 47,400 original miles, this beautifully maintained car runs and drives as well as it looks.  During a recent 800 mile road trip, this car performed flawlessly, averaging 21 miles per gallon.

This Fleetwood Brougham was originally purchased from Boyle & Lane Cadillac of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, and has had only two owners, the second from 1986 – 2015.  Rustproofed when new, this car has never been driven in winter and has always been stored indoors.  Recent updates include a new headliner, a new battery, and new ABS plastic fender fillers.

Included with sale are the original owner’s manual, two sets of original Cadillac keys, the original key fob from Boyle & Lane Cadillac, and all service records and warranty papers from 1986 to present, many of which are from the dealer.  Even the storage facility receipts from its indoor winter storage were retained by its meticulous owner!  Also included with sale are optional rear bumper guards.

If a rare Cadillac in a stunning color combination is what you desire, this 1983 Fleetwood Brougham Coupe is the one for you!
